Claudia Gibbons was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but has lived in the Upstate of South Carolina most of her adult life. She decided to be an accountant during a 9th grade business class while completing an assignment for a fictional business where she created a set of financial statements, completing all the accounting records from beginning to end for a month of transactions. Claudia went on to work for a local Certified Public Accountant while she completed high school as well as throughout college at Eastern Michigan University, where she graduated with a B.B.A. in Accounting in 1989.
Claudia joined The Reynolds Company in March 2018 as Director of Accounting. She has 30 years of combined accounting and tax experience in industry and public accounting. Prior to joining Reynolds, she served as the Professional Practice Group Director for Tax Services at a Top 30 CPA firm where her overall focus was the design and maintenance of quality control policies and procedures. Before that, as a trusted advisor to a diverse client base that consisted of individuals, pass-through, and closely-held businesses, business owners highly valued her knowledge. Claudia’s experience covers several facets in the areas of accounting, tax compliance and planning, SOX compliance and quality control.
Claudia served on the Board of Directors of the South Carolina Children’s Theatre and was a member of the theatre’s Finance Committee. Claudia and her husband Brian live in Easley, South Carolina and have one grown daughter. Her favorite activities include time with her family in the mountains, lounging by the pool, boating, and, whenever possible, traveling on new adventures.
